LOOK OF FIBERGLASS STRENGTH OF WICKER
FIBERGLASS-RESIN FURNITURE
GAZEBO
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Start
with the open doorway panel and two window panels. Butt the window panels to each side of the doorway panel. Use temporary electrician plastic ties (approx.8? long) or for a permanent installation use solid copper #14 gauge white insulated wire. (any hardware store) 70 feet of wire will do. Cut 24 eight inch strips to start with. This will allow enough flexibility to wrap wire around each end of panels. Tie in three places, two to three inches from top and bottom and one in the middle. Do not tighten until roof panels are installed. Next, on the standard gazebo, tie on a closed panel in the same manner and keep adding panels until you come all the way around. After last panel is tied in kplace, stand in the middle of gazebo and measure frot to back and side to side. Try to get within a couple in inches of the same measurement all the way around.
You are now ready to install the roof
Two people make it easy, but if your alone;
Get an eight foot ladder. Put it in the middle of the gazebo. From the outside of gazebo, throw a roof panel over the side panel so that small end of the pie shaped roof panel is resting on the ladder. Allow the roof panel to extend over the side panel 4-5? like the eves on a house. Tie the roof panel to the side pa;nel where it is resting in two places. Try to match as close as possible the two ends of each side panel with the two ends of each roof panel. This should almost happen naturally. Continue withe roof panels. With each roof panel added, tie together in three places just like you have done with side panels. The two ends and the middle. When ;you get to the last roof panel, it won't seem to fit. This is where you must get on the ladder and lift all roof panels up approximately 2 feet and tie the last roof panel in place which will now fit. Now, go back to where the roof panels meet the sides of the gazebo and tie a wire or strap connecting the roof panel to the side panel. One tie on each side of each roof panel to the side panel will do. It's time to go back and tighten all the wire ties with pliers in a twisting motion until tight. Cut off excess, and bend wire end down so there is not a sharp end. Wire the top finial piece to top of roof. Before tightening, look from outside of gazebo from two directions such as north and east, to make sure finial is straight. Add planter boxes and or hanging baskets. A hanging basket from the middle of gazebo is beautiful.
Congratulations, But are you through?
Bolting down to cement, brick or wood.
Wood Decks
Each gazebo panel has two legs that touch the ground. Drill a 5/16? hole through the leg. It is not neccessary to drill or bolt down enery leg. Every other leg is more than adequate. After all holes are drilled, and after measuring again the panel distance between each other, put a 2? long by 1/4? lag screw with a washer through each hole and into wood deck. Use you judgment as far as pre-drilling a small pilot hole in wood deck first.
Cement, brick or rock decks
Same procedure as far as drilling through gazebo and using the same screws and washers. In addition a 5/16? masonry drill bit is needed. After drilling gazebo and measuring distance between panels, mark cement by putting a felt pen through gazebo leg hole and mark the cement. After marking cement in all places, the gazebo can be moved a couple of inches at a time to drill each hole in cement. Move gazebo back and screw in This completes the installation.
Staking down to dirt of grass
Level gazebo as close as possible. Once this is done, measure as in previous example, to achieve uniform distances between all panels. Depending on you ground, cut redwood dowels1? diameter and approx. 18? long, for each corner of the gazebo. Cut a point on one end of the dowel so you can hammer into ground. Cut a grove on one side of the dowel about 1/4? deep so you can take a piece of the wire tie and wrap around dowel and around each corner where panels butt together. Take pliers and twist tight so that the wire would not slip off of dowel if someone lifts up on that corner of the gazebo. Completing this, you may now cut off excess wire and bend down so there are no sharp points. Dowels may go on inside of outside of gazebo.
The Image of Wicker Guarantee
Our gazebo and the rest of our line of furniture, has an unconditional five year guarantee. It will not crack, fade, peel, rust or rot. Never needs painting, since the color is throughout. Pads for the furniture vary as to quality. Inexpensive material will last according to how it is cared for. For longer lasting and no fade guaranteed material, you initially will pay more, but the choices of material and no worry attitude you may enjoy could be worth the extra money. These sunbrella materials are what is normally used on boats. Even the salt air has little effect to harm these materials.
PS You may have seen our displays in some of the home shows throughout the country. Our sales reps. would take some of the smaller pieces of furniture and either throw or slam them against the ground and watch them bounce. This of course was to prove the strenght of the furniture and the confidence we have in the line.
