Peterson gas log sets. Each log is hand crafted
of high heat ceramic wire reinforced with gives off instant radiant heat.
Ceramic wire reinforced is the ideal structure for heat output, and prevention
of cracking and crumbling over the years Our logs are realistic in color,
texture and design. These gas sets are for vented wood burning fireplaces. Now
you can enjoy the appearance of a wood burning fireplace without the
inconvenience of real logs.
Before you begin
please note there are 2 basic types of gas
log kits
- FIRST TYPE: Gas
logs with standard burners: G-4 CLASSIC series (normally used when lighting with
a match each time it's used. Around for the last 30 years, all around,
great sets. Pilots or special valves for wall switches, or remotes can
always be added to these sets now or at a later time.
G-4 Burner (pictured Here and Used With
Classic Series Log Sets)
- SECOND TYPE: Gas
logs with upgraded burners: G-5 DESIGNER series (certified and factory
installed Pilot valve, valves for wall switches, or valves for remote
control systems. The
upgraded burner on the G-5 Designer Series (pictured below) is installed from the factory with the
pilot light manual control valve as a standard feature. (no matches will be needed to light
gas logs after initial lighting of the pilot) Other valves for wall switch
operation or remote control operation will be factory installed on the G-5
designer series logs sets in the same way if one of these later type of
ignition system is desired.
Any valve on the G-5 Designer
series burner below, can be added to the
G-4 Classic series Burner now or in the future, it just will not be CSA certified (pre-tested
and factory installed) A valve would be added on the G-4 Classic sets, if you do not want to use matches
any longer. The valve, screwed onto the end of the burner pan, will give
you the choice of either turn knob ignition,
wall switch ignition or
remote control ignition. The proper
valve will be selected depending on which one of these 3 ways you wish to ignite
the gas logs. Again as stated above, if you do not care about pilot systems,
just order one of the Classic Log Sets,
which come complete and light with a match.
