Prefab
surrounds (covers the black metal with brass or marble looking metal)
between the opening of the fireplace and the wood on the mantle, tile, marble,
or anything else that's fireproof can be added to hide the metal face on the
fireplace. Prefab surrounds are easy, fireproof and cost less than slabs
of marble.
